Communication
/ Conflict
You argue when you try to talk it out. You shut down to avoid the conflict. You feel mutual understanding is impossible. It is possible to change this cycle, because that's what we do.

Emotional Disconnection
Feeling alone in a relationship can feel worse than being alone. We know how to help you step closer to each other so you both can feel connected, and feel safer asking for connection.

Trauma
When what happened exceeds our capacity to process, it sticks in our mind and body. Whether that happened in childhood or current relationship, our trauma specialists can guide you out of the effects of the past.

Sex / Intimacy
Many couples struggle with different approaches in the relationship. One feels so disconnected that they don't want sex. The other feel so disconnected because sex isn't there. We start from there, to the place you both feel fulfilled and connected.

Relationship Patterns
A relationship takes 2 people. Everything that happens in relationships have 2 sides of the story. Our couples therapists are specifically trained to identify and work with the patterns.

Strong Emotions (Anger, Grief, etc.)
When these emotions control you, it's difficult to build a relationship. We can help you learn to process and regulate your emotions so you can show up to yourself, which enables you to show up to your partner's emotional needs.

We are a group of therapists specializing in helping couples navigate disconnection, recurring conflict, and emotional distance. Many couples come to us feeling stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change, or like they’re living more like roommates than partners, even when they still care deeply for each other.

Our role is not to take sides or decide who is right or wrong, but to help you understand the patterns between you. We slow things down so you can see what is happening underneath the conflict and begin building safer, more connected ways of relating. Over time, this helps you respond to each other with more clarity instead of reacting out of frustration or hurt. The goal is to create space where both of you feel heard and understood.

We take a relational, trauma-informed approach that considers both emotional patterns and life context, including family history and culture. If you’re unsure who is the right fit, we can help guide you. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

GOT QUESTIONS?
We've got answers
No, our job is not about deciding who's in the right/wrong. There's no sides in marriage because you are a team. and if you feel like there's sides in your marriage, that's a sign that couples therapy might be a good fit for you. We help you to 1. understand your own emotions, 2. express your experience and perspective, and 3. help you practice receiving and understanding your partner's perspective without having to decide who's right.
In our first sessions, we get clear on what’s been happening in your relationship and what you both want to change.
Then we start to notice the pattern you get stuck in—like one person reaching while the other pulls away, or conversations escalating and shutting down.
From there, we slow things down in real time so you can understand what’s happening in those moments and start responding differently to each other.
The goal isn’t just to talk about the problem—it’s to help you actually shift how you interact so things feel calmer, clearer, and more connected.
There must be a reason why your partner is hesitant to open up. We will explore that together, by making the space they need to be able to express it. There are some ways to help your partner feel more comfortable opening up in therapy, and we know how to help.
What sets us apart is that we don’t just focus on communication—we focus on the pattern underneath it.
We help couples understand why they keep getting stuck in the same arguments, where one person reaches and the other pulls away, and how that cycle takes over even when both people are trying.
We also use a trauma-informed approach, which helps us understand how past experiences show up in how you react, shut down, or protect yourself in your relationship today.
In sessions, we are direct, compassionate, and active in the process. We don’t take sides, and we don’t stay passive while patterns repeat. Instead, we help you slow things down in real time so you can respond differently and start reconnecting.
